The Unichem Laboratory Goa plant is consistently meeting the Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines, WHO and other statutory requirements including zero water discharge criteria. This plant has been rigorously inspected, inter alia, by USFDA and MHRA on a regular basis as it caters to the majority of the European and American markets.




DESIGN BASIS


Indoor Design Conditions are as follows:

  • Temperature/RH (DB/%RH) - 24°C / 55 +/- 5 %




SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  • This is a 75000 sq.ft close control ab air conditioned by 24 Air Handing Units connected to invertor based Danfoss make condensing units for energy efficiency.

  • The RH is controlled by thyristor-based heater banks for close control.

  • Class D (ISO-8) is maintained for all classified areas.

FACILITY DESCRIPTION


The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) is the world’s premier research organization which researches various rice types with support from Philippine government. The project is a R&D lab that provide solutions to physico-chemical and genetic testing services of research and agricultural industry.




DESIGN BASIS


Indoor design Conditions are as follows:

  • Temperature/RH (DB/%RH) - 24°C / 55 +/- 5 %
  • Sample storage area has separate Air conditioning system for maintaining 16 +/- 2% deg C




SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  • The lab is air conditioned by Air Handing units connected to VRV ODUs for research labs and critical areas requiring 24 x 7 cooling with a working & standby mode.

  • Lab area parameters are managed with “pressure sensor based” VAVs and PLC logic controller to maintain pressure and temperature.

  • Office area is air conditioned with tap off from clients existing chilled water system.

  • The total capacity is approx. 600 HP VRV units.

Syngene is a leading Contract Research Organization (CRO) in Asia providing end-to-end discovery and development services, with this particular project being set up at Hyderabad.




DESIGN BASIS


Indoor design Conditions are as follows:

  • Inside DB temperature - 24°C +/-1 and 50+/-5% RH




SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  • The labs are air conditioned by once through chilled water-based air handing units.

  • Total cooling capacity is 700 TR.

  • Humidifiers & Duct heaters are used to maintain RH. VRV units of capacity 100HP are used for Admin areas.

  • The labs exhaust & Fume Hood exhaust is used for heat recovery system with the help of heat exchanger of copper coils coated with anticorrosive paint.

  • All internal parts are coated with FRP to handle the corrosive gases.

  • The lab controls are done with CAVs & VAVs and controlled & monitored by DDC controllers with BMS.

FACILITY DESCRIPTION


Piramal Healthcare at Mahad manufactures Micronutrient Powder (MNP) Sachets and premixes for Ready to Use Therapeutic Foods (RUTF) for UNICEF, PAHO, WFP etc. in food block. Nutrition Premixes produced in Mahad are supplied to customers such as UNICEF, WFP, GSK etc. in bulk & small 1 gram sachet packs. Consultant: Spectrum Pharmatech Consultants




DESIGN BASIS


Indoor Design Conditions are as follows:

  • Temp/RH (DB/%RH) - 24°C/ NMT 60 %

  • The labs are Class D ( ISO-8 )

  • Room differential pressure is maintained 10-20Pa between areas of same class and 15-20 Pa between areas of different class.




SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  • The lab is air conditioned with the help of seven air handling units having electronically communicated fans and Electrostatic Precipitation (ESP) filtration system.

  • Since Class ISO-8 is to be maintained, terminal HEPA filters are used in each lab.

  • AHUs cooling coils are connected with VRV ODU units & AHU’s hot water coils are fed by heat pump to maintain humidity & temperature which is precisely controlled by PLC based control.
